AAE is contracted by KfW to carry out an environmental and social scoping/screening of three renewable energy generation projects, each with an installed capacity ranging from 30 to 50 MW, currently in the pre-investment phase of the National Electricity Company (ENDE): the Occidente Solar Plant in Yamparáez (Chuquisaca), the La Guardia I Wind Project in La Guardia (Santa Cruz), and the Cabezas II Wind Project in Cabezas (Santa Cruz).

As part of the consultancy, AAE conducts field visits to the project sites and interviews with key social stakeholders, with the aim of validating preliminary information and assessing potential social and environmental risks and impacts in line with the World Bank Environmental and Social Standards (ESS).

The results provide key conclusions and recommendations and serve as a basis for the selection of one project, for which a full Environmental and Social Impact Assessment will be developed at a later stage.
