As part of an agreement between the National Development Corporation and Blue Nature Alliance, the Ministry of Environment of Uruguay engaged AAE to support efforts to strengthen national capacities for the design and implementation of a network of marine protected areas (MPAs). In this project, AAE contributes to the development of the national marine biodiversity monitoring strategy, preparing targeted proposals for monitoring sites of particular conservation relevance.
