Paraguay has an already approved law on environmental services that contemplates payments for forest conservation (Law 3001/06). In the almost 10 years since its approval, only 182,000 ha have been certified throughout the national territory; of which only 6% have finally been commercialized. Based on this scenario, the objective was to design a full proposal to present to the GCF to catalyze the full implementation of the aforementioned Law 3001/06, covering a minimum of 350,000 ha marketed by 2023.

Main tasks

  • Review and improvement of GCF draft proposal
  • Development of the gender analysis
  • Revision and finalization of the logical framework.

Main outputs

  • Project Document
  • Gender Action Plan
