This project is developed within the framework of the “Protection and Sustainable Management of the Amazon” project, financed by KfW and implemented by Conservation International Bolivia. The project aims to support deforestation reduction and promote sustainable forest management through the participation of local stakeholders, including Indigenous Peoples and local communities. It contributes to strengthening conservation measures, improving integrated fire management, consolidating national monitoring and safeguards systems, and advancing results-based approaches under REDD+.
AAE was contracted to assess the level of compliance and identify gaps in Conservation International’s Safeguards System (SISCI) against the KfW Sustainability Guideline, with the objective of ensuring alignment with international environmental, social, and climate standards.
