Nathalie Doswald has been working for over a decade in international nature conservation, providing technical expertise and research to inform policy and decision-making processes. She has worked as a Programme Officer for UNEP-WCMC contributing to projects on REDD+, renewable energy and managing projects as a leading expert on ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA). She is now working as an independent consultant and has worked with UNEP to define the links and synergies between EbA and ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction (Eco-DRR).
Her main areas of expertise and interest are EbA, Eco-DRR, the impacts of climate change and renewable energy on biodiversity and ecosystem services, the role of biodiversity in climate change mitigation, biodiversity monitoring and biodiversity distribution modelling.
