Milena Sojachenski

Postgraduate at Universidad de Karlsruhe, Germany (Instituto für Hidromecánica und für Wasserwirtschaft und Kulturtechnik)
Bachelor Civil Engineer. Universidad Federico Santa María, Chile.

Milena has worked and conducted research on issues related to submarine emissaries and protection of the environment, wastewater, among others. She also accumulates experience as a local consultant, forming part of a multidisciplinary team for the project of the Inter-American Development Bank (German Consulting FICHTNER GmbH & Co. KG.): Master Plan for Solid Waste Management for the Metropolitan Area of ​​Montevideo in Uruguay . She has been part of the environment team at the Botnia pulp production company (now UPM), in Uruguay, and has worked for a consulting firm on climate change, providing specialized services in mitigating climate change and footprint of carbon products and services. For the last 4 and a half years she has been the Regional Coordinator of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) South America working on all issues of integrated water resources management at different levels.
