Juan José Vidal
Geographer with postgraduate and master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management, specialized in territorial diagnosis, landscape studies, cartography and GIS. Currently, he is a member of the Landscape and Paleoenvironments Research Group in the Mediterranean Mountain (Department of Physical Geography and Regional Geographic Analysis of the University of Barcelona), and the Landscape Management and Evolution Service of the University of Barcelona.
Field of research: dynamics of natural mountain systems, analysis and assessment of the landscape, and methodological proposals for its management. Founder of ESTANES (www.estanes.com) as a freelance consultant developing works such as evaluation of urban and territorial plans, impact studies and landscape integration, GIS projects, spatial and network analysis, statistical treatment of environmental and social variables, administration of geobases of data, edition and design of cartography for engineering, publishing and administrations, geomarketing, technical assistance and software training (ArcGis, Microstation, Geographics).
