STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING
Strategic Environmental Planning is a key analytical and participatory planning processes for integrating environmental and social considerations, at early stages of decision making into policies, plans, programs, investment activities, among others that affect natural resources. Public and private sectors use natural resources or have an impact at the environment. To plan the the most sustainable and efficient use of resources is of utmost importance.
In AAE we advise you in order to incorporate environmental concepts and even convert them indo advantages, since the beginning of any project. For this we analyze the project’s environmental impacts in the context of social and economic factors, providing critical systematic considerations at the individual, regional, and national levels to promote environmental sustainability, smart growth, pollution prevention, among others. For example, to look for alternatives to waste or effluents or convert waste into energy are some of the options that should be considered since the beginning of a project.
Planning is an integral part of results-based management (RBM). RBM looks to plan all actions from a company or entity taking into consideration their expected results, their capacity and a detailed SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis. To do a strategic environmental planning, we analyze all previous documentation, the national and international context, always struggling to include efficient use of natural resources to ensure the sustainability of the investment while putting in balance the strengths, weaknesses and ability of the entity in order to determine the priority areas of work. Once these areas are identified, we will support the design of the results and resources framework, which will be the basis for future suggested monitoring, key to demonstrating progress and to communicate the achievements to society and customers.
The co-founders and associated experts of AAE have extensive experience in the formulation of projects, plans and strategies for both, public and private sectors, seeking to always consider the environment for its conservation and rational use but also for the benefit of the customers for their early inclusion in the planning of their actions.
